shatter

You die a little inside. Pieces of you lay broken scattered across the floor.
We walk around it. Pretending not to see.
Ravaged your body slumbers. Your mind frantic.
Searching for peace. Time heals.
Where there was light lives darkness.
Physically numb. Spiritually bound.
Your soul empty and broken. Raw.
She will rise again.
Her heart battle fatigued. Quietly she mourns. Wearing her armour.
She smiles. She pretends.
No one really sees her.
A little girl lost. Get up her father cries.
But he does not catch her.
